Malaysia - Kapas

Kapas is a little island only 6km away from the NE side of Malaysia, so it has mains electricity, unlike some other islands

You can walk across the jungle interior to deserted bays on the other side

Coral is just off the shore, so snorkling is very good
This was where I spent some of my birthday

Paul bravely walks over a deep chasm

I say deep.......

The fish and coral are so colourful and well worth the effort

Later on we had a few drinks.  It was a few hours after that, that burying Marie seemed the right thing to do

Elie tried his hardest to stop us

Not that Marie was that bothered

It wasn't long after that.....

....that swimming seemed the right thing to do

Normally the animals in the jungle are too quick to take photos, but this one stopped and posed

It's not all easy going when you're travelling.  Sometimes you get soo tired.....

We arrived in Kapas and got a 'cheap, cheap' place to stay.  Marie and Elie went to somewhere a little better.  We came to meet them at night and Marie realised that she was on this island, and we were on the one opposite.....

The day after my birthday was brighter than I felt

It was very picturesque and a relaxing and beautiful place to stay for a few days

Or maybe a week or more if you really wanted to do nothing
