Kep, Cambodia

In Cambodia, if you wanna build something but there's a tree in the way - there's no need to chop it down....

We went for a walk round a National Park, which was basically round the side of a large hill

We had a picnic later on, just round the other side of the bit jutting out

Saw lots of lizards

And could see all the way up the coast

The views were stunning and we just had a lazy stroll around the park which took a little over 2 hours

The coast part sticking out is actually Vietnam, which isn't too far away from Kep

The island in the background is Rabbit Island.  We were going to go but the weather wasn't brilliant and there wasn't much there to do if the weather is bad

We hadn't had enough walking so went for a walk along the coast road

Where we met some Khmers on the pavement having a picnic (this was taken later in a bar).  They didn't speak English, but had a crate of beer, bag of fresh crabs and an ice box full of prawns.  They insisted we join them and we had a few beers and some food with them.  We had to sign language to each other but had a funny time.  The Khmers are very friendly generally anyway, but this proves how much so

This was where we had the picnic, under the shade of the tree overlooking the coastline

Some monkeys came down for their own picnic
